The most important part of a lawn mower is the blade. In order for the mower to cut properly the blade must be kept sharp and sharpened to the correct angle which is 30 degrees. The factory edge that comes on the blade is not even close to being sharp. The lawn care professionals are able to mow much faster due to keeping the mowing blades razor sharp. For those without a professional blade grinder, an angle grinder works great and can contour the angles of “mulching” blades which many homeowner models have or you can take your mower to one of our local blade sharpening services.
